THE PRIGI NATIONAL FISHING PORT MANAGEMENT, TASIKMADU VILLAGE WATULIMO SUB DISTRICT, TRENGGALEK, EAST JAVA


Fishing port management is an activity that evaluate the port facilities in order to gain the maximum function from each facility. In this case, the operational efficiency towards is working productivity. The aim of this Field Work is to know the activity of in the Prigi  National fishing port management, Trenggalek East Java. The method used in this field work are of observation, active participation, interview the data used consist of primary and secondary data.
This field work show, that: Prigi National Fishing Port management consists of planning, actuating and evaluating process, which in the 2008 described a good category of port operational level (60-80) the success rate is 66,74 %. It conclude that the operational level of PPN Prigi in the year of 2008 is increase compared to the indicators such as production number, production value of fish catch and Non Finance Tax Income. In the other hand, the indicator of boat visitation decreased if compared to 2007. This is because of the fishing method used in 2008 more efficient by the use of fish attracting (rumpon).
