– Jika ditekan ada hardspot pada baterai.

STUDY OF PURSE LINE WITHDRAWAL SPEED AND CATCHING TIME TO CATCH NUMBER OF PURSE SEINER BASED IN PROBOLINGGO CITY EAST JAVA PROVINCIAL

There are two factors that important to the successfull of catching activities using purse seine, purse line withdrawal speed (as internal factor) and catching time (as external factor). The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of purse seiner based in Probolinggo City, determine the effect of purse line haul withdrawal speed and determine the effect of catching time to fish catched. The method used in this research is descriptive method and quasi experiments.

The number of purse seiner based in Probolinggo City, has decreased. Purse seine fishing gear, is accordance to the Indonesia National Standard. Supporting tools that used are lamp (as an attractor) and gardan (as puller purse line), which generating by the ship main engine as a generator. The optimal of purse line withdrawal speed is 1,49 m/s with 1.138 kg in catched, 1,07 m/s withdrawal speed just able to catch 5 kg and this is the lowest number during observation. The best time to catching is during the dark moon phase (new moon) with the number of catch was 14.716 kg. The best catching is at 2:00 a.m. WIB closely to 2.543 kg in catch. It can conclude that purse line haul withdrawal speed and catching time, influencial toward catch number. This study can suggest three things, firstly the use of power block on the purse seine net hauling process can help it easier and faster. Secondly, auxiliary equipment (rumpon and ‘lampu celup laut dalam’) can be used to effectively attract the fish. Thirdly, fisherman calendar which based on the moon phase and a column listing of the catched number need be issued to optimazed the catch number.

MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS OF TAMPERAN COASTAL FISHING PORT PACITAN DISTRICT EAST JAVA PROVINCIAL

Management of fishing port is the administrative port which includes an assessment of the fishing port facilities, so that it can expect to be maximum in function. The purpose of this study field were to: conduct observations, interviews and documentation; active participation of Tamperan coastal fishing port activities. Methodology used was descriptive through observation, interviews, active participation and documentation.

The development of Tamperan coastal fishing port reached 70% in 2009, with the result that operational of this port have not optimum yet. Tamperan coastal fishing port have several facilities, such as: principal, functional and supporting. Human resources of Tamperan coastal fishing port is insufficient. Fisheries community is still underestimate to the licencing issues and it caused many of fishing boat have not licence to operate yet. The development of Tamperan coastal fishing port gives a positive economic impact. It can be seen through many of job opportunities offered in that fishing port area. Urbanization problem also reduced by the present of fishing port. Finally, the catching activities is prime mover of Indonesian economy.
